Terms

The agreement between you and the operator of IMAP2AI. Plain terms, and short, because a long one nobody reads protects nobody.

Who you are contracting with

What the service does

IMAP2AI connects your own email, WhatsApp and Google Search Console accounts to an AI client over the Model Context Protocol. Email uses IMAP or POP3 and SMTP; WhatsApp uses a linked device; Google uses OAuth authorization. Your AI assistant is the client it is tested against; any other client that supports a custom MCP server can use the same connector URL. Whichever you connect can list folders, search, read messages, save drafts, move messages between folders and set flags. No tool deletes mail, and the connector refuses to set the \\Deleted flag, so it cannot bin a message either.

Sending is off when you connect a mailbox and stays off until you turn it on yourself. While it is off, the assistant writes into your Drafts folder and a person sends. If you turn it on, messages can be sent from your mailbox without a further confirmation, and that is your decision and your responsibility.

Your account and your mailbox

  • You must own the mailbox you connect, or have permission from whoever does.
  • A connector URL is a credential for your current and future connected accounts. Anyone holding it can use its permitted tools. Treat it like a password, and revoke it in the dashboard if it is exposed.
  • You are responsible for what is done through your account, including anything an assistant does with a connector you enabled.
  • Do not use the service to send unsolicited bulk mail, to break the law, or to access a mailbox you are not entitled to.

Initial release and limits

Paid subscriptions are not enabled in this release. Account capacity and request limits are enforced by the service. Any future paid offering will show its price and terms before you subscribe. Connecting an account does not authorize a future charge.

Availability

The service is provided as it is, with no uptime guarantee. It depends on your mail provider, WhatsApp, Google, your AI client and our hosting, any of which can be unavailable. Maintenance and changes happen without notice, though anything that removes a capability you rely on will be announced by email first.

Your mail stays yours

Nothing you connect becomes ours. Your mail is not sold, not mined and not used to train any model. What the AI client you connect reads goes to whoever operates that client, under your agreement with them — Anthropic for Claude, OpenAI for ChatGPT, someone else if it is not. Choosing which client to connect is your decision, and so is what it may see. See the privacy page for the full list of who processes what.

Limits of liability

A language model can be wrong. Do not rely on a draft, a summary or a search result without reading it. The operator is not liable for mail that is misfiled, missed, unanswered or wrongly answered, for anything sent while you had sending enabled, or for a decision taken on the basis of something an assistant produced.

Liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for death or personal injury, for fraud, or under mandatory consumer protection rules, which apply to you in full whatever this section says.

Ending it

You can delete a mailbox at any time in the dashboard; that removes its settings, its stored credentials. Your shared connector remains available for your other accounts. To close your account entirely, write to info@imap2ai.com and we will delete it and everything attached to it. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is being used to harm someone, or that violates applicable service limits, and will say why.

Your correspondents’ mail

A mailbox contains other people’s personal data as well as your own. For that data you are the controller and we act only on your instructions, which is what connecting the mailbox and choosing what your AI client may do amounts to. We process it solely to provide this service, for as long as the mailbox is connected, and we do not use it for anything else. The categories are whatever is in your mail; the people are whoever writes to you.

Everyone who can reach that data is under a duty of confidence, the sub-processors are listed on the privacy page and we will tell you before that list changes. We will help you answer a request from one of your correspondents, and on request we will confirm in writing what is set out here. Disconnecting removes active settings and credentials; activity metadata and backups follow the retention periods on the privacy page. If you need a separate signed data processing agreement, write to us and we will sign one.

Complaints

Write to info@imap2ai.com first — most things are a misunderstanding and are quicker to fix directly. We do not currently recognise any provider of out-of-court consumer dispute resolution under the Slovenian ZIsRPS. That does not affect your right to bring a claim in court, or to complain to the Market Inspectorate of the Republic of Slovenia.

Changes and governing law

These terms may change; the date at the top changes with them and account holders are told by email before a material change takes effect. Slovenian law applies, and the courts of Slovenia have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, the mandatory law of the country you live in still protects you and you may bring a claim there.
